French belote: deal six, deck-top trump, draw as you take tricks.

Classic Blot is the French-style cousin of Armenian Blot — same 32-card deck, same trick-taking mechanics, but the deal is six cards and the trump is flipped from the top of the remaining deck. After each trick, both players draw one card so hands stay at six until the deck empties; the final three tricks are played from hand only. On Stario it is a real-stakes 2-player duel paid in Telegram Stars.

Classic Blot rules

A 32-card deck (7–A) is shuffled and six cards are dealt to each player. The next card is flipped face-up under the deck and its suit becomes trump. Lower trump leads the first trick.

Follow-suit and over-trump rules are the same as Armenian Blot. After each trick the winner draws first, then the loser; both keep hands at six until the deck empties. After that the last three tricks are played from hand. Belote (K + Q of trump in the same hand) auto-credits +20. Last-trick winner gets +10. Highest score takes the round; one round equals one match on Stario.

Classic Blot on Stario

Stario keeps Classic Blot fast: a typical match is 6–9 minutes with the draw mechanic punctuating each trick. Bot opponents at five tiers fill empty seats after a brief queue wait. The shared trick-resolution code with Armenian Blot keeps both variants identical in feel except for the setup — same point values, same belote bonus, same +10 last trick.

Tips for the draw phase

  • Watch the trump indicator. The face-up card under the deck tells you what your opponent is drawing into.
  • Don't lead trumps until the deck is empty if you can avoid it. Trumps held to the final three tricks decide the round.
  • Off-suit Aces and Tens hold their value through the whole deck — save them for the no-draw final phase.

Classic Blot FAQ

How is Classic Blot different from Armenian Blot?

Classic deals 6 + has a draw phase + trump comes from deck top. Armenian deals 8 up front + non-dealer chooses trump + no drawing. Trick rules and scoring are identical between the two.

Does the trump indicator card go to a player?

Yes — the face-up trump-indicator card is the LAST card drawn from the deck. It goes to whoever draws last when the deck has only one card remaining (typically the loser of that trick).

Can I play Classic Blot with a bot?

Yes. Classic Blot has a five-tier bot just like Armenian Blot. Default queue rank 3 (neutral); FREE-tier matches always force rank 3.
